APPLICATIONS OF STAINLESS-STEEL SEAMLESS TUBE

Image
Seamless Tube is a solid metal tube with no welding seam, connected to another tube without having any welding joints. That means Each End of the tube is connected to another tube ends. These tubes can be threaded to the end of another hollow tubes or pipes. Seamless Steel Pipes tubes have the ability to handle pressure which makes an Advantage to this Tubes.   The weakest point in a welded steel pipe is the welded seam. But because a seamless steel pipe has not been welded, it doesn't have that seam, making it equally strong around the entire circumference of the pipe ADVANTAGES OF STAINLESS-STEEL SEAMLESS TUBES 1.     Increased Pressure Ratings Stainless Steel Seamless Tubes when compared to other tubes has the ability to handle high pressure. Because a stainless-steel pipe tube is not welded it makes the tubes Strong around the circumference of the pipe. Due to its durability of handling pressure, toughness, corr...

Different Types of flanges Manufactured

Slip On Flanges Slip on Flange Is fundamentally a ring placed over the end of the pipe, with a flange face extending from the end of the pipe by sufficient distance to apply a welded bead to the inner diameter. As the name suggests these flanges slip over a pipe & hence known as Slip On Flanges. A slip-on flange is also known as SO flange. It’s a kind of flange that are slightly bigger than the pipe & slides over the pipe, with internal design. Since the inner dimension of the flange is slightly bigger than the external dimension of the pipe, the top & bottom of the flange can be connected directly to equipment or pipe by fillet welding the SO flange. It is used to insert the pipe into the flange’s inner hole. Slip-on pipe flanges are used with a raised or flat face. Slip-On Flanges are a suitable choice for low-pressure applications. Slip on flange is excessively utilized in many fluid pipelines. Slip On Flanges Manufacturer in India Weld Neck Flanges We...

ANSI B16.5 & ASME B16.5 Flanges in Details

Image
A flange is an external or internal ridge, or rim, for strength, as the flange of an iron beam such as an I-beam or a T-beam or for attachment to another object, as the flange on the end of a pipe, steam cylinder, etc. Star Tubes & Fittings is  Flanges Manufacturers in India .  We also manufacture supplier of various types of flanges such as Slip On Flange, Weld Neck Flange, Blind Flange, Threaded Flange, Lap Joint Flange, Socket Weld Flange, Long Weld Neck Flange, Companion Flange, Orifice Flange & many more. The B16.5 standard was first published by ANSI in 1973. Prior to that it was an ASA standard.  In 1996 the standard changed to ASME B16.5. For 10 years prior to the change, the standard included both & was listed as  ANSI/ASME B16.5 .   So what's the difference?  The answer is there is no difference. The ASA, ANSI & ASME have continually refined & broadened the B16.5 standard.  I'm sure there is a committee w...

Guide to Buy Stainless Steel Flanges

Image
A  flange  is a cast ring that is designed to connect sections of a pipe or any other machinery that requires a connecting joint.  Before confirming your order, it is important to note that these flanges come in different sizes, diameters, shapes & measurements. Available in various shapes in term of their measurements & field of application. All you need to do is choose your product based on set needs & standards. When it comes to which materials should be used in your applications the following factors come into play & therefore, some important aspects that need to be considered while buying  stainless steel flanges  are as follows:-   HOW TO CHOOSE THE STAINLESS STEEL FLANGE Important to note the diameter of pipes needed. Also, knowing whether these pipes are seamless or welded, would help suit requirement. As for stainless steel pipe flanges ,  discs & rings that attach to pipe in order to increase support or stre...

Benefits of Using Flange Fittings

Image
Benefits of Flanges   Since there are specific applications where flanges &/or flange fittings are the only applied choice (particularly in larger, high pressure piping applications), flanges sometimes provide benefits to the piping system that outdated hydraulic fittings do not. For example, in those larger OD applications flanges are frequently able to be connected to pipe (tube or hose) & component ports more easily than threaded fittings or connectors. Most significantly, in many severe service applications on mobile construction equipment flanged connections are best for: 1.       Ease of assembly in close-fitting spaces where wrenches might not have clearance if installing outdated fittings, & they are more easily assembled with modest torque. 2.       Hard to reach areas where flexibility is required, eliminating the need for adapters in the tube, pipe or hose line. 3.     ...

Pipe Fittings| Purpose, Types & Specifications

Image
Every Industry and Power Plants requires Plumbing Systems to maintain the flow of Fluid flow from one place to another. For this Purpose, Pipe Fittings are used.   Pipe Fittings are highly demanded and are an essential part of the piping and plumbing system. Pipe Fittings comes in various Shapes and Size. Every Component of Pipe Fittings is Different so, Pipe Fittings are installed According to its Type. What Do you Mean by Pipe Fittings? In Simple Words, Pipe Fittings can be termed as a Work Process which involves the installation of Pipes and Tubes.   Pipe Fittings are installed to change the direction of a Flow coming through a Piping Component. Different Methods and Techniques are used by Pipefitters while installing a pipe and tubes. Basic Purpose of any Pipe Fittings: ·          Connecting Pipe Sections ·          Changes the Direction of Flow of Liquid ·  ...
